Description
Second-Generation Standard Zoom
Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Model A063) is the second generation of Tamron’s landmark fast standard zoom for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless.
Constant F2.8 Aperture
Constant f/2.8 maximum aperture across the entire 28-75mm zoom range – the affordable workhorse alternative to Sony GM II for weddings, events and travel.
VXD Linear Motor
VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor delivers fast, precise, near-silent autofocus suitable for stills and video.
Lightweight 540 Grams
Just 540 grams – significantly lighter than the Sony FE 24-70 GM II, making it easier to handhold for long events.
Advanced Optical Design
17 elements in 15 groups including aspherical and LD elements suppress chromatic aberration and deliver high resolution across the frame.
9-Blade Circular Aperture
9-blade circular aperture diaphragm produces smooth and natural background bokeh.
Close Focus to 0.18m
Best-in-class minimum focus distance of just 0.18 m at the wide end and 0.38 m at the tele end with up to 1:2.7 (0.37x) maximum magnification.
67mm Filter Thread
Tamron-standard 67 mm filter thread – shared with most Tamron mirrorless lenses for easy filter swapping.
Moisture-Resistant Construction
Moisture-resistant construction with fluorine front coating protects against dust, splashes and smudges.
Tamron Lens Utility Compatible
Compatible with Tamron Lens Utility software for custom focus settings, A-B focus and firmware updates.
