Optical pentaprism viewfinder with approximately 100% coverage, 0.71x magnification, 21 mm eyepoint and a transparent LCD overlay for AF points, grid and electronic level. The 8.10 cm (3.2-inch) Clear View LCD II touchscreen has approximately 1,620K dots with anti-reflection and anti-smudge coatings.

Built-In GPS and Wi-Fi
Built-in GPS records longitude, latitude, elevation and Coordinated Universal Time using GPS, GLONASS and Michibiki satellites, with NMEA log files. Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n, 2.4 GHz) supports EOS Utility, smartphone connection and wireless printing.

Dual Card Slots and Interfaces
One CompactFlash Type I slot (UDMA 7 compatible) and one SD/SDHC/SDXC UHS-I slot, with RAW and JPEG recordable to separate cards. SuperSpeed USB 3.0, HDMI mini (Type C), stereo microphone or line input, headphone socket, PC sync terminal and N3 remote terminal.

Body and Battery
Dust- and drip-resistant body; the covers must be closed, and Canon states it cannot prevent all dust and water droplets from entering. LCD panel with illumination. 150.7 x 116.4 x 75.9 mm, approximately 800 g body only. The LP-E6N battery is rated for approximately 900 shots at 23°C (CIPA, viewfinder shooting). EF lens mount; EF-S and EF-M lenses are not compatible.
