SanDisk ImageMate PRO USB-C is a multi-card reader and writer for SD, microSD and CompactFlash cards. It connects by USB-C on a USB 3.0 interface and handles UHS-II, UHS-I and non-UHS SD and microSD cards as well as CompactFlash cards up to UDMA 7.
Card support
SanDisk states the reader works with UHS-II, UHS-I and non-UHS SD and microSD cards, covering SDHC and SDXC, and with CompactFlash cards up to UDMA 7.
Speed
SanDisk rates transfer at up to 312 MB/s for SD and microSD cards and up to 160 MB/s for CompactFlash cards. SanDisk notes those figures are based on standard CompactFlash, UHS-II SD, UHS-II microSD and USB interface speeds, and that performance varies with the card, the use case and the host device.
Connection
The reader uses a USB-C connector on a USB 3.0 interface, which SanDisk states moves content up to 10 times faster than a USB 2.0 interface. It is backwards-compatible with USB 2.0 ports.
