Sensor and Lens
1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor with 2.4 μm pixels and up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range. Fixed prime lens, 155° field of view, variable aperture f/2.0 to f/4.0 with Auto, Large Aperture (f/2.0), Fixed (f/2.8) and Starburst (f/4.0) modes. Photos at approximately 38 MP (7168×5376) in JPEG or RAW; burst up to 30 images in 3 seconds.

Video Recording
8K (7680×4320) at 24/25/30fps in 16:9. 4K at up to 120fps in 4:3, 16:9 and 9:16. 4K Custom mode records a 3840×3840 square frame at up to 60fps for cropping to multiple aspect ratios afterwards. 2.7K up to 120fps, 1080p up to 240fps. Maximum bitrate 120 Mbps, MP4 (HEVC). Slow Motion at 4x in 4K and 8x in 1080p; 32x Super Slow Motion at 1080p is generated in camera by frame interpolation.

Low Light and Color
SuperNight mode records 10-bit video at up to 4K/60fps with ISO up to 51200. 10-bit D-Log M is available in standard video, Slow Motion and Hyperlapse modes with an on-screen preview; it is a lower-contrast flat profile for grading, not a LUT. Built-in film tones apply in 16:9 up to 4K/60fps or 4:3 up to 4K/30fps. A front color temperature sensor corrects white balance in changing light, including underwater.

Stabilization and Field of View
RockSteady 3.0 and RockSteady 3.0+ electronic stabilization. HorizonSteady levels the horizon through 360° of rotation and HorizonBalancing is also available, both at up to 4K/60fps in 16:9 and in 4K Custom mode. EIS is not applied in Slow Motion and Timelapse. FOV options: Standard (Dewarp), Wide and Natural Wide. 2x lossless zoom, except in 38MP/34MP photo, SuperNight, Subject Tracking, Slow Motion and Timelapse modes.

Waterproof and Durability
Waterproof to 20 m without a case and 60 m with the Waterproof Case; camera and case are IP68 rated; the camera is EN13319 certified. Close the battery and USB-C covers and tighten the Glass Lens Cover before use in water. Dive depth and time can be shown on screen. Below about 14 m the shutter button is disabled and the QS button takes over. Operating temperature -20° to 45° C, with up to 167 minutes of recording at -20° C. Dust-proof.

Screens and Controls
Two OLED touchscreens: 1.46-inch 342×342 front and 2.5-inch 400×712 rear, 800 nits each with 1000 nits peak on the rear. Customizable QS shortcut button. Voice Control in English and Mandarin Chinese. Gesture Control starts or stops recording or takes a photo with an open palm within 2 m. SnapShot starts recording from power-off, and Pre-Rec keeps 5 seconds to 5 minutes of footage from before the button was pressed.

Tracking and Shooting Modes
Subject Tracking mode keeps a person centered at up to 2.7K/60fps in horizontal shooting; it is not designed for pets or other non-human subjects. Hyperlapse (Auto, 2x to 30x), Timelapse with intervals from 0.5 seconds to 60 minutes, in-camera 4K Live Photos and Portrait mode after a firmware update. InvisiStick removes a selfie stick in the DJI Mimo app, and sports data can be overlaid as a dashboard.

Audio
Three-microphone array with stereo recording and wind noise reduction. OsmoAudio direct connection to two DJI microphone transmitters without a receiver, with a Built-in Mic Audio Backup option; first-generation DJI Mic is not supported and DJI microphones are sold separately. Third-party microphones connect through the Osmo Action 3.5mm Audio Adapter.

Storage, Transfer and Connectivity
64 GB built-in storage with 50 GB available, plus a microSD slot for cards up to 1 TB. Wi-Fi 6 transfers at up to 80 MB/s from built-in storage; USB-C (USB 3.1) reaches up to 300 MB/s with a USB 3.1 cable. Bluetooth 5.1. The DJI Mimo app is required for activation and provides remote view, editing templates, D-Log M color recovery, livestreaming and cloud upload. Built-in timecode. Compatible with the Osmo Action GPS Bluetooth Remote Controller.

Battery, Charging and Mounting
1950 mAh Li-ion battery (7.5 Wh). Operating time 240 minutes at 1080p/24fps with RockSteady on, Wi-Fi off and screens off, tested at 25° C. A USB-C PD 3.0 charger of 30 W or above charges to 80% in 22 minutes and 100% in 52 minutes. Accessories attach through the dual-direction quick-release system; the Quick-Release Adapter Mount accepts third-party action camera accessories.
