18-50mm zoom for APS-C mirrorless cameras. Angle of view 73.4 degrees at the wide end to 30.0 degrees at the telephoto end on Canon RF-mount.
Constant f/2.8 Aperture
Maximum aperture of f/2.8 across the whole zoom range. Minimum aperture f/22. 7-blade rounded diaphragm.
Optical Construction
13 elements in 10 groups, with 1 SLD glass element and 3 glass-molded aspherical elements. The design uses in-camera aberration correction for distortion and vignetting.
Close Focusing
Minimum focusing distance of 12.1 cm at the wide end and 30 cm at the telephoto end. Maximum magnification ratio 1:2.8 at the wide end and 1:5 at the telephoto end. Sigma advises removing the hood when shooting at the wide-end minimum distance.
Stepping Motor Autofocus
A stepping motor drives the autofocus for quiet operation in stills and video. Supports DMF and AF+MF.
