Package
This listing is the DJI RS 4 Pro standard package. It includes the gimbal, the DJI RS BG30 Battery Grip, a quick-release plate (Arca-Swiss/Manfrotto), the metal Extended Grip/Tripod, a briefcase handle, an extended lens-fastening support, a multi-camera control cable (USB-C, 30 cm), a USB-C charging cable (40 cm), a screw kit and a carrying case. The specifications below describe the gimbal.

Payload and Stabilization
The axis arms are carbon fiber and the tested payload is 4.5 kg (10 lbs). Car Mount mode raises motor torque and tunes the stabilization for vehicle vibration and wind. The gimbal runs the 4th-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm. Pan, tilt and roll each turn at up to 360°/s.

Native Vertical Shooting
The horizontal plate provides 2nd-Gen native vertical shooting: it is released and re-secured in the vertical position, with no additional accessories. DJI states the gimbal needs rebalancing after switching between horizontal and vertical.

Axis Locks, Balancing and Touchscreen
The gimbal has 2nd-Gen automated axis locks. The roll axis has dual rolling bearings, all three axes carry a Teflon coating, and a fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis is used for balancing. The upper quick-release plate has an adjustable placement guide. The OLED touchscreen auto-locks and, while locked, displays the current gimbal and joystick modes.

Battery and Charging
The DJI RS BG30 Battery Grip (LiPo 4S, 1950 mAh, 30 Wh) runs for up to 13 hours with the gimbal balanced and stationary. Charging takes approximately 1.5 hours with a 24W fast charger; DJI recommends QC 2.0 or PD chargers. The gimbal can be used while charging. The DJI RS BG70 High-Capacity Battery Grip, sold separately, extends runtime to 29 hours and can power a camera or accessories at up to 18 W. The RS 4 Pro battery grip also fits the DJI RS 4 and RS 3 Pro.

Camera and Lens Control
Dual-Mode Bluetooth gives wireless shutter and zoom control. The joystick mode switch moves the joystick between gimbal movement and zoom control, where it drives Power Zoom on PZ lenses, Clear Image Zoom and external focus motor zoom. With two DJI Focus Pro Motors the joystick adjusts zoom and the dial adjusts focus. The gimbal mode switch selects PF, PTF or FPV; FPV can be set to 3D Roll 360 or Custom, and the trigger can be customized to hold FPV mode.

Focus Pro and Transmission Ecosystem
With the DJI Focus Pro LiDAR and Focus Pro Motor, the gimbal provides LiDAR autofocus for manual lenses and ActiveTrack Pro, which can relocate a briefly obscured subject. DJI Transmission with the Ronin 4D Hand Grips, Master Wheels or High-Bright Remote Monitor allows remote control of the gimbal, focus and camera parameters, LiDAR Waveform and Mirror Control mode. The DJI Ronin Image Transmitter adds live feeds, ActiveTrack 4.0 and Force Mobile. The DJI Ronin Expansion Base Kit mounts the gimbal on a car, jib or slider, and the RS SDK supports third-party solutions. The Focus Pro LiDAR, Focus Pro Motor, DJI Transmission, Ronin Image Transmitter, Ronin Expansion Base Kit and BG70 Battery Grip are sold separately.

Build, Weight and Dimensions
The body is aluminum alloy and carbon fiber. The gimbal weighs approximately 1242 g, the grip approximately 265 g, the metal Extended Grip/Tripod approximately 226 g and the quick-release plates approximately 110 g. Folded size is 289.5×167.3×267 mm; unfolded with grip it is 267.8×201.9×415 mm. Operating temperature is -20° to 45° C. The ports are not waterproof or dustproof. Ports: RSA/NATO, 1/4″-20 hole, cold shoe, and three USB-C ports (video transmission/LiDAR, RSS camera control, focus motor). The DJI Ronin app (iOS or Android) is required for first-time activation.
