32.5 Megapixel APS-C Sensor
Approximately 22.3 x 14.8 mm CMOS sensor with 32.5 effective megapixels (34.4 total) and the DIGIC X processor. Stills ISO 100-32000, expandable to H:51200; 14-bit RAW and C-RAW, 10-bit HEIF and 8-bit JPEG. The RF mount natively supports RF and RF-S lenses, and EF and EF-S lenses attach via Mount Adapter EF-EOS R.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF II
The AF area covers 100% horizontal and 100% vertical of the frame in auto selection with 651 AF areas, working down to EV -5. Subject detection tracks people (eyes, face, head, body), animals (dogs, cats, birds) and vehicles (racing cars, motorbikes).

15fps Mechanical and 30fps Electronic Shooting
The mechanical or first-curtain electronic shutter shoots up to approximately 15fps for 224 JPEG frames; the electronic shutter reaches approximately 30fps for 126 JPEG or 42 RAW frames. Shutter speeds run to 1/8000 sec mechanical and 1/16000 sec electronic, with flash sync at 1/250 sec (1/320 sec electronic first-curtain).

In-Body Sensor Shift-IS
Sensor Shift-IS provides up to 8 stops of correction depending on the lens (CIPA, yaw/pitch, 8.0 stops with the RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM at 105mm) and 7 stops with the RF-S 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM at 150mm, working together with lens optical IS.

4K 60p and 7K-Oversampled 4K Video
4K UHD at up to 59.94fps, 4K UHD Fine generated from 7K oversampling at up to 29.97fps, and Full HD at up to 119.9fps recorded as 1/4-speed slow motion. Internal 10-bit 4:2:2 recording with Canon Log 3 or HDR PQ, H.264 and H.265 codecs, and up to 6 hours of continuous recording.

OLED Viewfinder and Vari-Angle Touchscreen
0.39-inch OLED electronic viewfinder with 2.36 million dots, approximately 100% coverage, 1.15x magnification. The 7.5 cm vari-angle TFT touchscreen has approximately 1.62 million dots and supports touch AF and touch shutter.

Dual UHS-II SD Card Slots
Two SD/SDHC/SDXC slots with UHS-II support and dual card recording for movies.

Connectivity
Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n, 2.4 GHz) with Bluetooth 4.2 for EOS Utility, smartphone connection and upload to image.canon. USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2) for computer and smartphone communication and USB power, HDMI micro (Type D) output, 3.5 mm microphone input, 3.5 mm headphone socket and an RS-60E3-type remote terminal.

Body, Battery and Dust/Water Resistance
Magnesium alloy and high-strength engineering plastic body with dust and water resistance. Approximately 132.0 x 90.4 x 91.7 mm and 530 g body only (612 g with card and battery). The LP-E6NH battery is rated for approximately 770 shots with the LCD or 500 with the viewfinder (CIPA); USB charging is supported with LP-E6NH and LP-E6N batteries.
