Insta360 Luna Ultra Standard Bundle Dual-Lens Gimbal Camera – 1-Inch 8K Sensor, Leica Summicron Lens, Detachable 2-Inch OLED Touchscreen

Overview
The Insta360 Luna Ultra is a dual-lens gimbal camera. The main lens is a Leica Summicron with a 1-inch 8K sensor and F1.8 aperture; the second lens is a telephoto with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and F2.0 aperture. A 3-axis mechanical gimbal stabilizes the camera head, and a 2-inch OLED touchscreen detaches from the main gimbal for remote monitoring and control. This listing is the Standard Bundle, available in Cosmic Black and Stellar White.

Main lens and sensor
The main lens has a 20mm equivalent focal length, F1.8 aperture and a 9cm minimum focus distance. Insta360 states 14 stops of dynamic range for the 1-inch 8K sensor. Photos can be recorded at up to 37MP (7040×5288) in UltraPhoto mode, and a 200MP (20224×10112) Scenic Panorama is available. Photo formats are JPG and JPG+RAW, with 16-bit DNG files.

Telephoto lens and zoom
The telephoto lens has a 60mm equivalent focal length, F2.0 aperture and a 15cm minimum focus distance. Lossless zoom is 6x (120mm equivalent).

Video
Video records at 8K (7680×4320) at 30, 25 or 24fps, 4K at up to 120fps, 2.7K at up to 120fps and 1080p at up to 240fps, in MP4 with H.265 coding. Color profiles are Standard, Dolby Vision and 10-bit I-Log; video is 10-bit, and Dolby Vision uses the Rec. 2020 color gamut. I-Log is compatible with the ACES workflow and is natively supported in DaVinci Resolve 21 or later. Modes include Video, PureVideo, Slow Motion, Timelapse, TimeShift and Barrel Roll, and built-in timecode supports multi-camera sync in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Low light and processing
Processing is handled by a Triple AI Chip system: two imaging chips plus a 4nm AI chip. PureVideo is the low-light mode; it lowers noise and lifts brightness and detail, and records at up to 4K60fps. The ISO range is 100-6400, shutter speed runs from 1/8000 to 30s for photos and 1/8000 to 1/24s for video, and white balance is adjustable from 2000K to 10000K.

Detachable touchscreen
The 2-inch OLED touchscreen rotates and can be detached from the main gimbal. It connects to the gimbal over Wi-Fi with image transmission up to 20 meters in an open, unobstructed environment, has a built-in microphone, and can be used for framing selfie or couple shots away from the camera.

Stabilization and tracking
The 3-axis mechanical gimbal has a controllable range of pan -57 to 235 degrees, tilt -57 to 120 degrees and roll -50 to 50 degrees, with a maximum control speed of 210 degrees per second. Deep Track 5.0 provides Auto Tracking, Group Tracking and Smart Framing. Tracking begins from the joystick or by tapping the subject on the touchscreen.

Audio
Four microphones are built in: three on the main gimbal and one on the detachable touchscreen. Audio is recorded at 48kHz, 32-bit AAC, with audio modes including Wind Reduction, Voice Enhancement and Original Audio. A wind guard is pre-installed, and two Insta360 Mic Air or Mic Pro transmitters can connect directly for dual-person recording.

Battery, storage and connectivity
The main gimbal has a 1550mAh battery with a stated run time of 240 minutes (1080p24fps, screen and Wi-Fi off), and PD fast charging reaches 80% in 23 minutes with a 15V 3A charger. 47GB of internal storage is built in, with microSD card support up to 2TB. Connectivity is Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth BR/EDR/BLE and USB Type-C 3.0. The camera measures 52.4 x 169.9 x 38.5mm and weighs 233g in Cosmic Black or 235g in Stellar White. Operating temperature is 0 to 40 degrees C.
