16-28mm zoom for full-frame mirrorless cameras with an angle of view of 107.0 degrees to 75.4 degrees.
Constant f/2.8 Aperture
Maximum aperture of f/2.8 across the whole zoom range. Minimum aperture f/22. 9-blade rounded diaphragm.
Optical Construction
16 elements in 11 groups, with 5 FLD glass elements and 4 aspherical elements, two of them large-diameter. Sigma lists Super Multi-Layer Coating on this lens. Sigma lists compatibility with the camera’s Lens Aberration Correction, which Sigma says corrects peripheral illumination, chromatic aberration and distortion in camera.
Inner Zoom Mechanism
The lens length does not change when zooming, so the balance point stays in nearly the same place from 16mm to 28mm.
Stepping Motor Autofocus
A stepping motor drives the autofocus. Supports DMF and AF+MF.
