    14-24mm zoom for full-frame mirrorless cameras with an angle of view of 114.2 degrees to 84.1 degrees.

    f/2.8 Maximum Aperture
    Maximum aperture f/2.8. Minimum aperture f/22. 11-blade rounded diaphragm.

    Optical Construction
    18 elements in 13 groups, with 1 FLD glass element, 5 SLD glass elements and 3 aspherical elements. One of the aspherical elements is large-diameter and sits at the front surface.

    Nano Porous Coating
    Super Multi-Layer Coating combined with Sigma’s Nano Porous Coating (NPC), a coating layer of porous silica containing nano-sized holes. Sigma states that this construction reduces flare and ghosting from strong incident light.

    Stepping Motor Autofocus
    A stepping motor drives the autofocus. An AFL button on the barrel can be assigned functions on supported cameras.

    Barrel and Front Element Protection
    The barrel has a dust- and splash-resistant structure, and the frontmost element carries Sigma’s water- and oil-repellent coating. Sigma states that the structure permits use in light rain, but that this is not equivalent to being waterproof.

    Close Focusing
    Minimum focusing distance of 28 cm and maximum magnification ratio of 1:7.3.

    Rear Filter Holder
    Sigma lists the filter size as rear (gelatin filter). A rear filter holder is supplied; it has a lock that prevents the filter dropping out, and takes sheet-type filters fitted behind the lens.
